What is your idea / business and to whom is it addressed?
Grow, Harvest, manufacture, produce an organic TEA that can compete TOE to TOE with the likes of Yerba Mate or GREEN TEA. With the health movement in full swing its perfect timing to exploit this sociological superfood that is abundant through out our home country. It's rarely talked about and in recent years business have started to commercialize, which is something I'd like to do as well.
How should the idea/business earn money?
Selling its resources
At what stage is the idea / business at the moment?
We have acquired 20 acres, Needing to get the land certified organic. We have another land owner with about 40 acres who is willing to let us foliage his property as well. We already have a Name for the tea that will be popular due to its already known popularity of name and relation to the Yaupon Holly. "Osceloa Tea" line below "North America's 1st Tea". We also have a group called Herbal and Herbs out of Australia trying to line up a sample with their Herbalist and Blends specialist(first tea blends group of its kind in Australia). We also have several Tea/coffee Tasting rooms willing to accept our Roasted blends once we have them down packed. pssssstt. We also have loads of Saw palmettos, which are very profitable during season...
What do you need?
We need hard capital for equipment. We have a Pole barn of 24x48 that can be enclosed to create a "dry and roast house". There are several other outer buildings amongst the property we can use as well. We will need a good marketing plan(Florida State University is a potential client) and particular packaging to stand out from the rest. I already have labor hands ready to go to work. We are all construction workers by trade and own our own companies but would love to work with plants. This is a very unique opportunity at a very unique time with its popularity growing and only a few sources are available. Not to mention hopefully streamline tea leaves to another country off rip like Australia would be huge.
